About Us

The outdoor division of
Riyo Advertising, Mumbai

Riyo stands for Reliable, Innovative, Young, Optimistic — the name our founders chose in 2004. We started as a newspaper advertising agency in Mumbai. Twenty-two years later, the group plans and buys media across print, digital, TV, radio, and outdoor. This division handles the outdoor part: railway advertising, hoardings, metro and bus media, and on-ground BTL campaigns across India.

Our Story

From newspaper columns
to city skylines

2004. Riyo Advertising and Mass Media Private Limited opens in Mumbai, booking newspaper ads — classifieds, public notices, recruitment, real estate. Print is an unforgiving teacher. Miss a deadline and a legal notice fails. Quote the wrong rate and you eat the difference. That discipline became the company's culture.

2010. Clients who trusted us with print started asking a different question: "Can you also get us that hoarding near the office?" We could. Media buying is media buying — the formats change, the negotiation doesn't. The outdoor division was born from client pull, not a business plan.

Today. We run OOH campaigns from a single bus shelter panel in Ghatkopar to multi-city railway dominations. 1,200+ outdoor campaigns delivered, 500+ active ad locations, 25+ cities covered, and the same Mumbai head office on L.B.S. Marg we've worked from for years.

One honest note: plenty of agencies in Mumbai are older than our outdoor division. What we bring that most don't is two decades of cross-media buying behind every outdoor recommendation. When a client's brief is better served by a newspaper jacket or a radio spot than a hoarding, we say so. It has cost us hoarding bookings. It has never cost us a client.

Core Principles

Three rules we run every campaign by

These aren't marketing slogans. They are operations rules that protect your ad spend.

pin_drop

Location beats size

A 20x10 hoarding facing the right traffic flow outperforms a 40x20 facing the wrong way. We check footfall and traffic data before we recommend a site, not after you've signed.

photo_camera

Proof or it didn't happen

Every site gets photographic proof of execution. Flex torn in the monsoon? Replaced, documented, no argument. This is written into our contracts.

swap_horiz

The right medium, even when cheaper

A local gym doesn't need a BKC hoarding. It needs 30 auto rickshaws in a 3-km radius. Selling clients media they don't need is how agencies lose accounts in year two. We'd rather keep the account.
